I'm looking for a gun belt that can carry a full size 1911 and two 8 round mags without flexing. Any recommendations?

What will it be used for? Competition?

More for instruction, and conceal carry

I carry either an H&K P7M8 or P7M13 every day and the belts I have from the Beltman work great. I also occasionally carry a full size 1911 with ease.

+1 Wilderness 1.5" 5 Stitch Instructor's Belt. You'll find plenty of people that have nothing but good things to say about this belt.

+1 Wilderness Tactical 1.5" 5 Stitch Frequent Flyer. It has the stiffness you need and easy adjustment. Also you do not need to take it off going through airport security. I have used one for the past 5 years. It supports a 1911 in a Sparks Watch6 holster.

Aker dress belts are designed for concealed carry. Go to http://www.akerleather.com/ then in the left hand column to "dress belts." They are the best I have ever found.

I'm a big fan of the Blackhawk! 2.5" Enhanced Military Web Belt, found cheapest at OpticsPlanet.net. It's kinda tall, though, so some holsters might not fit it. Pair it with a standard Velcro inner-duty-belt, and it works great.

Lightweight enough to wear comfortably, but still enough to support four AR mags in FastMag holders, a Sig P229 in a Serpa holster, and two pistol mags in a Kydex carrier. None of these items sagged, and the belt was comfortable enough to be unnoticeable after a while, although I'm sure LEOs with all their radios, flashlights, etc., would not have the same results.

Real Man's Belt from Simply Rugged. I carry my .44mag, speedloader and speedstrip on this puppy.

Liger gun belt, it does not scream 'gun belt'. Not effected by sweat, moisture etc

This may sound silly but any suggestions for a less, well, manly looking belt? I suppose the Liger one may be an option but then that goes from manly to just a little less so. :P

And before anyone asks, yes, I did wear a belt similar to the Beltman Bullhide 1.5 and it just really did not look right and wound up giving it to my husband instead. -_-

+2 This is the one I use for the reasons listed. I usually put the holster on the belt before leaving the house and when I cross state line the gun comes out.

I usually use a Don Hume YSO or JIT.:D

I am partial to AKJ Concealco. Sometimes I wear the belt even if I am not carrying.

Count me in.

I've been wearing an Instructor belt daily since the 90's, only wore out one so far. Good quality, excellent platform for carrying.
