My favorite part

Sale to Civilian Population

Although primarily used by militaries around the world, the .50 caliber sniper rifle and its various types of ammunition are readily available to the public. Forbes Magazine has noted that the number of manufacturers of these sniper rifles for sale to civilians has increased from one in 1987 to possibly as many as 24 today.20 The boom in interest in the weapon propels this increased number of manufacturers. Drastic reduction in price of the .50 caliber rifle has stimulated increased sale and access to the weapons. A government study found that a used .50 caliber BMG sniper rifle can be purchased online for just $29.95

My second favorite part

THE THREAT OF .50 CALIBER ARMOR-PIECING SNIPER RIFLES

Damn those armor-piecing sniper rifles.

Link provided...lest you think this is some sick joke.

Oh and if any of you fine calguns members feel compelled to donate to these clowns, say a flaming bag of sh*t or something, feel free to wander on over to the "donate" link and please dont fail to notice the ceaselessly hypocritical ccw wielding Sylvester Stallone displaying his unnerving ability to ignore the fact that HES A WALKING CONTRADICTION!!

Heres the uncropped version

Passing judgment on Mr. Mac would almost certainly be in bad taste but I cant help but mention his 2004 Playboy interview in which he stated I have Glocks, .45s, Berettas, over-unders, Remingtons. I like the marksmanship and the discipline that it takes to be a gun owner. I like the machinery, breaking it down. Being able to take it out, clean it and put the spring back in is even more fascinating than having the gun.

Did they really think we wouldn't notice this sh*t? Whos running this troupe of ignorant mouth breathers and what makes them so effective at trampling my Constitution?

Yeah, really! I checked the footnote to see where I could get one for $29.95 (hell; at that price I'd have bought three!), but it didn't link to an actual site... Bastards.

Do you ever wonder why all these gun control groups do not have open forums to debate these and other issues.

No, I don't. I know why they don't; it's because they would lose.

From the document cited by Brady as the source of a $29 Fifty.

"C. Costs of the Weapon
The cost of a new fifty caliber sniper rifle can range from about $4,000 to $7,000. The retail
price for a new Barrett model 82A1 with two ten round magazines and an air and watertight case is
approximately $6,800. On the other hand, the cost of a modern second-hand fifty caliber rifle is only
about $3,000. An Internet search conducted by the minority staff revealed the sale of one used fifty
caliber sniper rifle for only $29.95." No citation provided

Hey, I think I've got some muzzle brakes in my recycling bin! Maybe I'll start selling them on Calguns.

Also, does anyone know where I can get an A's butt pad? :chris:

Yeah right! Maybe someone's gunbroker auction started at $29.95 but there is no way it sold for that much. Hell these days 2rds of .50BMG would prolly cost you that much or more.

If a used one goes for about $3K and they found one listed at $29.95...did they not think that is was possible a type, a misplaced decimal point meant to be $2995 instead?

Or an initial bid that didn't come close to the reserve price?

And until a couple years ago, Stallone had a CCW issued by Sheriff Baca.

You do realize that ignorant mouth breathers are exactly the people you want running your opposition.
