Ok im sure a few read my rant on how I came into possession of this gun and I have decided to part with it for two reasons. The first is petty, I simply am doing it for spite (like seinfeld but) long story but you can try to find the thread (it should be labeled problem with a gun bought on gun broker). The second is a much better reason and that is my offer got accepted on my first house  and the closing cost/down payment is a few thousand more than I had planned or expected. So on to the gun info......

As far as I know everything on the gun is original except the right grip which is correct but not original(thanks to cal guns member joepamjohn). Everything on the gun looks and functions well. All markings a very visible (ie FJA stamp) except the cross cannons. However they are visible just not as clearly as the other markings. The bore from I can tell looks pretty good and has pretty stong lands and grooves still. Any dark spots in the pictures is because I just spent the last hour and a half cleaning and oiling this thing. I did pile on the oil then wipe it off too help protect it incase this doesn't sell. Serial number range is 1.4 million as you can see in the pictures

Price: $1600 plus shipping $1550 $1500 + shipping

Payment terms: Money order or cash, Since this is a more expensive item I may be willing to take paypal (add 4%) but if for any reason there is any mention of anything gun related in the payment it will be refunded and the gun will be sold to the next person in line also I will not sell anything to said person again.

Shipping: I will ship for $50 via over night UPS. Before you PM that you will take it please make sure your gun dealer will accept transfers from an individual if it needs to be shipped.

*********DISCLOSURE*********

LOCAL BUYERS AND CASH BUYERS TAKE PRIORITY OVER PAYPAL AND SOMEONE NEEDING THE PISTOL SHIPPED.

ALSO IF THE PISTOL NEEDS TO BE SHIPPED THERE IS A 1 DAY INSPECTION PERIOD AFTER THE PISTOL IS RECEIVED BUT YOU MUST PAY FOR MY ORIGINAL SHIPPING COSTS AND THE SHIPPING BACK TO ME. FOR LOCAL BUYERS THE SALE IS FINAL

If you have any more questions please feel free to let me know

Thank you so much for that by the way when it sells ill send you little something for your trouble. I really didnt want to sell it but because of the issue i had with a hole seller and the fact that i need major cash for my first home it just made sense to get rid of it. Thanks again I really appreciate it

I wish I could help. I really want a 1911, and I am close by. Good luck with the sale and the purchase of your new home.

No worries with the grip, Good luck with selling it. If I didn't already have one in that SN block I would be interested. It is priced very well too, especially considering a few others I have seen for sale. It looks very nice. Is the barrel marked HS on the lug?

Ya but i got some pretty good deals on my modern guns and to replace those again it would wind up costing me more than to replace this one later down the road....... Come on guys I need this sold for the down payment on my house I only have a few more days to come up with the money

Awesome piece. R. L. Wilsons Colts dates of Manufacture shows this as 1943.
Mag. is 1941 or older. Colt went to all blue in '41.
