View Full Version : PRICE CHECK: S&W Pre-27 with 3.5" barrel?

I'm considering selling a Smith & Wesson pre-27 with 3-1/2" barrel. No box and papers with some blue wear but all original bluing. Wear is at end of barrel and at cylinder but still super nice and great shooter. Can anyone give me a range this should sell for?
I'll have pix posted as soon as I can find my darn cable for my camera! Thanks in advance.
$900-$1200 depending on actual condition, more if it comes with the original box

I'd agree with Kurac's estimate above. The 3.5 inch barrel version is quite rare and in much demand.
Yeah, I hear stories about people finding them for $650 or less but those are guys that just got lucky. The last pre 27 3.5" I saw was at Imbert & Smithers a year or so ago, maybe 85% condition with diamond target grip and it never hit the display case, sold for $950
Also, I would put it on the S&W forum, there are more people interested in such a piece on that site vs. this one, and they would probably be willing to pay more for it.
