Who makes that hand guard?

It's a magpul MOE hand guard

It actually makes any carbine rifle look really nice lol and it's not that expensive to get.

So are glock_this, battleship and old-trapper "ladies"?

lol

Don't know much about ARs but that looks pretty decent. Good work.

So do ARs need muzzle minimizers (or whatever they're called)?

Muzzle brakes? It depends on how you want your AR to behave and shoot. Brakes and compensators tend to make the gun sound a lot louder and a huge flash comes out because it directs the gas flow outwards towards the side. Flash Hiders though reduce the light signature of the AR.

We're going shooting tomorrow! :)

Just got back from the range, and we had a blast! I couldn't take any pictures though because I was too busy teaching her how to properly handle the weapon, but the rifle worked like a charm and shot perfectly with no malfunctions. We also got a chance to shoot a Nighthawk Talon III my friend owns and that was also a great gun shoot. All in all, awesome rifle for an equally awesome girl :)

Your gf is a lucky one. My gf should feel lucky I let her shoot my guns. :)

JK, I'll get her something one day when I get some decent cash flow.

This thread inspired me to purchase another strip lower to start a new build for my wife, so she can leave my AR's alone!!! :D

Genius!

I never thought about enlarging my own collection under the auspice of buying/building my wife some rifles.

Thank you to the original poster for the idea!

Nothing is HOTTER than a woman holding a firearm!
Well, maybe if she had a sword strapped to her back with a handgun strapped to her waist.

Does she do well with irons?

My past two GFs have had glasses and do muuuuuch better with red-dots.

She did ok with them, she's going to be the one buying an Eotech, I already spent the money for the rifle lol.

As my husband and I always say, "Nothing says I love you like a gun." He always adds, "Or it at least says, I trust you."

She's a lucky girl. If you break up, does she get to keep the AR?

Nice. You're a lucky man.
I have yet to meet the "perfect woman," i.e. one that likes me and guns!

I did....but she was too expensive...would of been cheaper to take her out to buy some clothes and dinner then to have her shoot all my ammo day after day.

Now I only date ones who hate guns/shooting....its so much cheaper.
