I'd like input on a good chrono to buy. I don't mind paying a bit extra if the quality is REALLY worth it. Quality only hurts once. That said if a cheaper model will do the job equally well then I don't mind keeping the cash.

What are your favorites and why? Any features you have found that you can't live without or features that are just for show? Any lists like Randall's "Match Ammo is Too Expensive" thread that lists the high end buy it if you can afford it vs. the best bang for the buck lower end stuff?

If it matters my focus right now is on pistol loads for IDPA and general blaster ammo, but I do need to work up some loads for my AR.

I ended with CED M2, eventhough I originally did not want to spend that kind of money. Now I am glad I did.

Features I really like is the large display and the ability to download all the data once you are home (you could also do it at the range, but I already carry enough gear).

+1 Since Oehler stopped selling to the consumer market, CED M2 is the only game in town. Luckily for you and me, it's a pretty good chrono at a great price.

I've had a PACT Professional for ages and it has served me well. The new ones come with a computer interface so you can download the data to your PC:
