Now that Calguns is on the offensive post-Nordyke, the number of legal cases interested Calgunners will try to follow is only going to grow. Each could take a couple of years to reach resolution and I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in hearing how we're doing at each step.

What I propose is a sticky here in the 2A forum that can only be modified by mods or the "right people." In it will be some sort of simple table with each case name and the latest status update. That way we can check one thread and don't need to sort through 80 pages of "two weeks" speculation to find out there's no new news.

How about it? We can call it "News from the Western Front." ;)

I like this idea. For keeping people from posting within the thread, the moderation staff can close the thread. They'll still be able to post within it, but regular users won't be able to.

Thanks! Great idea! It would be nice to have some legal analysis and anticipated case progression included by the experts. Again - a way for us folk to understand what is likely without having to sift through 80 pages of armchair layer predictions to find the 2 or 3 reasoned comments by the experts.

This site wouldn't be what it is without you, Librarian. Thanks as always.

Thanks, Gene, for writing commentary in those pages, too.
