Well, this is a first for meI'm doing a review of a product that hasn't even released yet! While the NEW Zairsoft CA rail doesn't release officially for purchase till May 12th (next week), Dave from Zairsoft.com sent me the finalized prototype direct from the manufacturer.

This product has all the great features that we've come to appreciate about the Classic Army rail (top coverage, stability, etc) plus a few extras! Here's the link, check it out! OKfirearms Review of CA Style Zairsoft R.I.S. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXmyqZb19Fg)

Glad I could help on that one--I got a LOT of requests to do that vid . . . it was a royal PITA to film, but I think it turned out well.

For a second I got my hopes up that GSG was considering a beltfed 22LR design. Now that's a beltfed I could actually afford to feed....

Time to track down a Tippmann 1919 . . .

This GSG-5 fetish has got me blasting .22LR like crazy, though.

Just wondering how much are they selling for?

I like it, since I won't have to deal with the PITA of filing and what not to make a RIS fit my GSG. Now you got me debating beween that and this below.

It pretty much looks like they just take a CA Rail System and cut off the portion of the rail you would have to cut off for you. I have done that for people. You can do a pretty clean job of it with a dremel and some aluma-black...

so is it made of aluminum or potmetal??

most airsoft metal crack with extremes in temperature...

i talked to the zairsoft guy and hes gonna trade the one i just bought + money for one of these new ones so im sending it back today. he said its identical to the CA ones except it fits the gsg out of the box with no mods. and im pretty sure these are aluminum but i dont know how theyre made, i doubt they are billet cause they arent that expensive

Just found out from Dave at Zairsoft that they are selling for $107.99, he is taking preorders now on the site, shipping on 5/13. I think he has a first run of 50 units available, more on the way.
