Fast and Easy.

I want a Ruger GP100 w/ 4 inch barrel.

Blued or Steel, which color would you choose?

stainless if you can find it. you won't have to worry about the bluing rubbing off. plus it's purdy...

I'm a traditionalist - I'll always take blued over stainless or chrome if possible.

while I wouldnt turn down a stainless, I prefer the blued look, so that is what I chose.

I think the Stainless looks cleaner than the Blued!

I prefer blue or a bead blasted stainless.
Never liked the shiny pimped look

I would get the stainless. If ,in the long run, you change your mind You can always send it to Robbie Robar and have it NP3 coated.

SS for sure. Blued just doesn't last as well with constant use.

I voted Blue. I like the dark color. I don't see too many blued gp100 until recently in the for sale section. I think that was the first time I saw a blue gp100.

I have had an old stainless Security Six since 1985. Still looks mostly new.

Stainless for sure.

Blued, but ONLY because harder to see in the dark. And that could be a BIGGIE

Yeah, but he could just as easily spray a light coat of dark paint on his stainless gun and still get the rust-resistant qualities of the stainless. I always hated having to touch up the blued guns I had where the holster wore off the bluing. If I didn't get to it fast enough, little bits of rust would start to set in, and I'd have to break out the Flitz to remove the rust, then reblue the worn areas.

That will never affect the gun's functionality in a person's lifetime

Or I could get the blued gun, and if I wanted later get it hard chromed.

Hmmm decisions.

SS is much easier to care for.

Plus, you don't have to worry about rusting and/or pitting...

Yeah, I voted blued, but it is such a PITA to keep them looking perfect.
