One of my friends has two .22lr handguns he is interested in selling. I wanted to confirm if the value before I post for him in the for sale forum.

One is a .22LR chrome derringer from Davis Industries.

The other is a .22lr Sterling - fair condition. Did a search a gun broker and found only one stainless "Mod 300" selling for $150.

He's thinking of selling each for about minimum of $100 each. I may purchase the derringer from him. What do you think they are worth or should price on the forums?

Thanks for any help you can lend.

If they are working, I'll buy them both for $100 each.

$100 each will be a fair price if both are functional. You might be able to push them to $150

$150's pushing it a bit for those guns, IMO.

For the derringer, Gunbroker completed auctions only shows one selling for $150, and it was a NIB .22 magnum. The few others that sold were in the $80-90 range. These used to go for $25-75 used in free states, but everything's more expensive here.

The used stainless Sterlings get bid up to $140-200, but they look better than the one in the pic.

I'd say $100-125 is a good price for the Sterling, and $75-100 for the Davis. Neither one's a very good gun - both fit in the "junk gun" category. I'm a fan of cheap guns, but I don't think I'd buy either one for more than $50, with the extra cost of transfer.
