Over the years I always hear about Wilson Combat, Les Baer's , Nighthawks etc. I HARDLY EVER hear any talk about the Springfield Armory Custom Shop 1911's. ( I mean the ones made to order).

Springfields Custom Shop does some very nice work and go the extra mile for you. I think its that the Wilsons and such are on the Cali approved list already
and the Springfields you have to purchase first then send it in to the Custom Shop for work.

I own and shoot a Springfield PC9404 Dist. LTD. It was made that way from scratch. Great pistols! I also shot my friends Basic Competition Model. AWSOME ACCURACY!!!! Works everytime too. Just never hear anything about them.

PROs? They're excellent and held in very high regard. Christian James has a Custom Carry which he also hold in very high regard.

Nate (SVTNate) chooses Springfield's Custom Shop for his aftermarket work. IIRC, he sent in a Custom Carry to be made to his specs after selling off his PRO.

It's tough to beat Dave Williams and crew, Les Baer also came from the Springfield Custom shop. They know their stuff.

Springfield Custom makes a gun as good as any out there. The reason why you don't hear about their 1911s as much as say a Les Baer, Brown, Wilson or Nighthawk is the simple fact that there aren't that many out there, so you don't have as many people singing their praises.

I have a Custom Carry. What do you want to know?

Ugh, id trade my nighthawk immediately for a springfield pro, just cant find them lying around. Most people keep em.

If its good enough for the FBI HRT, its good enough for me!!!!

Ive played with a couple and they are great. I would probably get one before any other high end 1911.

LOL, you ain't kiddin'!

The LR model seems to be most popular. I think I'd have a better chance finding a needle in a haystack over a non-railed model.

Just give Deb at SA a call. All that is required is a 1/2 deposit and 12-14 month wait ;)

I too wish I could get my hands on a SA Pro :(
