10mm ammo is too expensive to ever become rare...

That's not necessarily true...

I can't find a 10mm conversion for my 22C (unless I'm missing something)...

I'm great with a 45 should I just stick with it, do you guys think its wise to get the same gun just bigger or get a 9mm for somthing different???

No, seriously - .40sw is about the only ammo I seem to be able to find available right now with any regularity. I'm sort of (but not really) kicking myself for recently picking up a .45 instead of a .40. If I had to go back and do it over again - I think I would have given something in .40 a LOT more consideration the way things are going right now. Although - I do really like this gun, so I can't complain too much.

man i wonder if anybody makes a 32acp barrel and magazine for say a glock 17 or at least a 380 barrel

and since there is a 9mm barrel to use in the glock 22

is there a 40 barrel to use in a glock 21(using 10mm magazine of course)

There is a .380 glock but not available to us here in the US.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=87824

To the OP, IMHO you have to have a glock in 9mm, I voted 19 & 34, but the larger framed .45 would be pretty sweet too. Its on my short list.

why didn't you list the G23? from what I hear and see .40 is the easiest round to find for a decent price and the 23 is just a bit smaller without giving up much grip space.

KKM and Storm lake make conversion barrels for most glock models. With the G21 I believe your options are 10mm and 40S&W. The G22 you can do 9MM.

Advantage Arms makes a .22LR conversion for most glock models as well.

If I had to pick 1 model, it would be the G22. It gives you the widest rage of calibers with conversion barrels, .40 S&W .357 sig, 9mm and .22LR. I

ETA: I thought they make a .40S&W conversion gor the G21 but I may have been mistaken. KKM does offer .40S&W for the G20 as well as .357 sig.

You are...;) I did say to buy the G21 and G22, not or. KKM does offer a 10mm conversion for the G21 but not a 9mm conversion. KKM does offer a 9mm conversion in the G22 but not 10mm or .45 for obvious reasons.

Im still in the middle of doing research on it myself so I dont have all the answers yet. Not sure about the extractor/ejector. I havnt read anything about it, but thats a good question. AFAIK, the G22 can go .357 sig using the .40 mags, and can go 9mm using G17 mags.

ETA: What I found out about the conversion is nothing has to be done to the frame. They are pure drop in. Get the barrel and some mags and you GTG.

I think the G22/G23 may be the way to go. Lone Wolf, Barsto, KKM and storm lake are the ones making the conversions that I know about. Me personally, am not worried about group size, so a little looser chamber would be the way I would want to go.

well whichever glock you decide to buy let me tell you from personal experience.... invest in one of these. i love what it's done to my glock 17!

simple straight forward installation. it takes a little work but is worth it to be meticulous.

The .380ACP Glocks (25 & 28) are LE only.
They can not be imported into the USA for civilians due to not having enough points to be allowable (Gun Control Act of 1968).
They can be imported into the USA for law enforcement use.

Out of all the options, the 9x19mm is the cheapest ammo. So, go with a Glock 17 or 19.

However, if .45ACP is the only handgun ammo you currently use, then you might want to stick with it. So, go with a Glock 21/21SF. The mags from the Glock 21/21SF will also work in your glock 30SF.

Just bought a Glock 22, part of the reason for that is I can always like the guys above said is change out the barrell and make it a 9mm. I havent doem it but I liked having the option. I dont think you can go wrong with either the 22 or 23 or 19

I concur with Quiet above...

I'd go with the 19 as everything will be cheaper with the 9mm. I got an AA .22LR conversion for mine, too. Recently picked up a 32 and bought a 23 barrel. Leaving my 20, 29,and 36 as is for the time being.

One day the Glocks I want are 1) G17 or 19 still have to see them in my hand, 2)The G20, 3) the G21, 4) the G31, 5) and the G22 or the G35........ not necessarily in that order....

So just got off the phone with glock (read my other tread about glock barrel) after fixing a prob that I had I asked him the question "What Glock would you get if you have a G30sf already he gave me the run down and said simply "Get a Glock 19" "Then buy if you want everything else in between......" P.S Glock has great Customer Service!!!!!

Hows the .22lr coversion for the G19??????

It's alot of fun, cheap to shoot, and on the rare occassion it does something wrong, I can practice my FTF drills. Hope .22LR stays fairly reasonable.

Trouble with the Advantage Arms conversion is that they're really backordered, too.

Buy one of each, But start with the G17. The advantage arms is ammo sensitive. They really only like Remington ammo. I've tried Federal, Winchester, Eley And a couple other off brands they all misfire except for Remington.

Really? I was under the impression they couldn't be imported period. But I've never really had cause to look it up, so you're probably right.

To the OP: Man up, stick with .45ACP, and get a G36. Then swap the slide with your G30SF. Continue to use the G30SF at work and as your nightstand gun, and then use the G36 as your secondary home defense gun.

Or more realistically, get a G19.

Well i have big hands I just got to hold the Glock 17 which is the full size and I have to say I LOVE the full size glocks...... but should I stick with the .45 and go with the G21 or get the G17, I will get both sooner or later down the line the after my glock fever goes away is see a kimber 1911 (gold Match 2) coming my way.....

The G21SF and the G17 would both be excellent choices. (I prefer the G37, but I have a couple of G21SFs, as well as a G17).

Funny you should mention "a kimber 1911 (gold Match 2)." I have a Kimber Stainless Gold Match Series I in my safe. That's where it spends nearly all of its time since I started shooting Glocks! :cool2:
