Is the O/U a Superposed & if so what is the serial number? Trying to find out the date of manufacture.

On this forum the OP can charge what ever he wants, its down to a buyer to decide if he or she wants it badly enough.

SJS, your handle is my initials.

That means you should give me a discount. J/K.

I know the older the .410 Superposed is the more it is worth, a lot more. They are rare. The only other Superposed worth more are the 28 ga. ones.

That's why I would like the OP to answer my question.:thumbsup:

With the round knob stock, don't you think it is belgian? Prolly 50s- 60s vintage methinks.

This might be a bit high. What is condition, and what are the the last two digits of the serial number (the date i.e. - 65 or 76)?

The serial number of the Browning 410 is 9J73

The serial number of the Hi Power is T259586

I was told the 410 is a superposed, but I do not know how to confirm that.

Wow, a T series High Power, nice find. I don't think I can lay down that much $$ for any High Power though, this one is for collectors.

If it's a Belgian it will say so on the right side of the barrel. (Plus the round knob)

What's so special about that Hi Power?

T-Series high power used a forged frame instead of cast, and commend higher value then later versions. I was lucky to pick up a T-series with tangent sight (meter from 50 to 500yrds), mint condition at a very very low price.

To all interested in the 410...after looking at at the pics the OP send, the Superposed does not look to be refinished or reblued. This is a rare Superposed, original condition Superposed 410's have appriciated rapidly over the years.

1969-75

1969 started using two digits for the date of manufacture:

S=12 gauge
V=20 gauge
F=28 gauge
J=.410 bore

This was then preceded by the serial number beginning with 1000.

Example: 1000S69 = A 1969 Superposed 12 ga.. shotgun with a serial number of 1000.

If I am reading the above right, 9J73 translate into a 1973 Superposed .410 shotgun with a serial number of 9.

The Hi-Power is now $1000.00
The Winchester is now $2100.00
