Looking for a classic 357-magnum revolver that won't kill your budget? Well, here's one just begging for a new home! This is a Smith and Wesson Model 28-3, Highway Patrolman, with a 6" barrel, chambered for the venerable 357-magnum cartridge. I bought this from a fellow CalGunner several months ago...he bought it from another Calgunner before that. This classic revolver is in very, very good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. It does have some light finish wear near the muzzle, presumably from holstering, and has a very slight pit on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle, but nothing major at all as the pit does not even penetrate the original finish. The grips shown in the pic's are not the originals, but the original S&W grips do come with the gun. Any sale will be predicated upon your acceptance after you fully inspect this classic.
I have personally put 12-rounds of 158-grain Federal American Eagle through this piece. It shoots great and has proven itself to be very accurate. Lock-up and timing are perfect. The forcing cone is still sharp and in very good condition. Although I don't have any idea what the true round count of this piece is, condition indicates that it is probably somewhere in the 300 range. Any smudges you see on the finish is from oil and are not blemishes. The barrel is not pinned, and the cylinder bores are not recessed (not P&R). This is not a safe queen, but it is a very nice revolver that one would not hesitate to take out and "exercise". No disappointments with this one!

"SPF" which also includes 100-rds (2-boxes) of CCI Blazer 158-gr ammo. Sorry, No Trades.

Nice gun. I'll wager it would sell at warp speed if you put it on consignment at Sportsman's Supply in campbell. I saw a model 28 with rust there sell for $500 the first day it was there and that was about five years ago.

I've added my beautiful Smith and Wesson Model 19-7 to this listing. I hate to do it, but I am trying to finish a 6.5 Grendel build for my son's birthday and really need the cash to do it right.

I'd snap up that pristine Model 19 in a heartbeat if you were down south.

Is the Model 19 drilled for a scope mount? And are the grips a different shade from one another? It sure is a good looking gun:thumbsup:

No, this one is not drilled and tapped for optics. The Model 19 is a smaller frame than, for example, a model 28-27-66-586-686 which offer a more suitable platform for optics.

Yes, the right-side grip is slightly darker than the left-side grip. The grips are original to the gun, and is how they came from the factory.

Original Posting now edited to reflect a FINAL PRICE DROP. If these two revolvers don't sell by the end of the weekend, all offers (and the guns) will be withdrawn.

Thanks for your interest.
