I had an order of Winchester Xpert high velocity 22lr on backorder and it got processed today. 5 boxes of 500 for $110 shipped. Oddly there was no tax. Give it a try, I don't know how much stock they have.

Honestly, it isnt that good of a deal. When the Federal 550 bulk pack 36 grain are in stock at Walmart they are usually under 15 per box.

I know it's not great, but I've been to about half a dozen walmarts down here in the inland empire and there hasn't been a single pack of 22lr for weeks if not months now. It's at least a source of ammo.

I have a question on some 22LR ammo.

How is the Remington Yellow Jacket ammo? Does anyone know if it feeds well in semi auto rifles? I have always liked CCI Mini Mag, and the Yellow Jacket ammo just seems to have a big lip on it that to me would seem like it would have feeding issues

I was just at the Chula Vista Gun Store at 319 Broadway in Chula Vista on Saturday, 4/30/09. They had about 5,000 rounds each of CCI Minimags and Stingers.

Exactly:thumbsup:

My new stash of 2500 rounds will arrive the same day I go pick up my new Marlin so to me it's a good deal all around.

Winchester must have just put out a good size order of this ammo, because last night when I was at walmart they had three bricks of this stuff. Ive been going in just about every other day to check for bricks and i was suprised as hell when I saw three of these for only 12.97 a piece, I bought 2 bricks. The guy next to me was getting a fishing license and over heard me talking to the guy at the register about never having any rounds in and you could tell he wanted to say something. I just looked at the guy and said "hey bud if you got a .22, id buy that last brick if I were you" he was like "ill take the last box and a fishing license too".
how is this ammo, I always use the federal copper plate, this stuff is just lead.

I didn't particularly like the winchester X something HV. I still have a box of it. Shoots fine in my GSG. But a little smoky for me. Others have commented the same I met at the range. But it does work on my GSG. Will try it tomorrow on the marlin and buckmark.
