Then the same shop selling .223Rem for 49.99 per box of 50!! no namers and BlackHills going for 59.99 per 50!! Screw that!

I bought a GSG-5 carbine for $750 plus a calguns discount in San Rafael. Stupid waiting period is killing me though. I don't get to pick it up until next week friday.

I ordered mine in Feb '08, and it was delivered in Sept '08. I paid $499 + tax.

I order mine in October 2007 and received in in Jan 08. I paid $550 shipped with 1 mag. I picked up a second one recently from a mutual friend and paid $600 for it but it had 3 mags.

Now that's a serious mark up considering they are selling for $499. Hell for that type of money you could buy a dedicated .22 upper for a AR or 2 Target model 10/22's.

i think i got the biggest shaft...
i paid 900.00 out the door (dros + whatever taxes & fees included)
along with 3 additional mags for 40.00 each out the door
so total was 1020.00 for GSG-5 and 3 mags...

but!!! wait before everyone showers me with AW MAN YOU GOT SCREWED!!! comments...

i ended up seeing the same gsg gun at Ammo Bros for 699.00 on the rack and went back to my gun shop the day i picked up my GSG and explained to them that it wasn't cool, and the owner TOTALLY hooked me up....

he hooked me up with a CZ 75 .40 S&W at cost... basically the gun came to me with a 200.00 discount.

woo hooo!!!

I just paid $750 for mine off gunsamerica.com, but it came with 5 mags, scope (NcStar Mark III), a couple scope mounts, collaspable and regular stock. It was used, 450 rounds through it, but a 2nd gen with all mods. Pretty good deal. A guy from Reeds actually called me yesterday wanting to know if I still wanted one, I told him yes, wife needs one too.

Last November I paid 499 +tax. It took about 3 months to show up.

I generally see them for $600, plus or minus $50. So 550-650.

I paid 700 OTD for mine ($625 + tax + dros).

It was pricey for a 'toy' gun, but having said that it is great fun, everyone loves to shoot it, and it has been almost 100% reliable with every type of ammo I have tried in it. Try saying that for a 10/22.

And it is surprisingly accurate also. About 1 inch at 50 yards with a 4x scope.

What ever the market is willing to pay, That is the price a dealer will set.

Bay Area prices for a dealer that does NOT have any is $559.00 on average.
Bay Area prices from a dealer that DOES have stock is $700. to $790.

So the choice is yours. You want it now, pay the piper. You are willing to tie up $550 to $590 and wait three to four months. That is your choice also.

Paid $545, plus DROS.

Added collapsable stock ($80) and 1 extra 10-rd mag ($40)

I have tri-rail forestock, scope mount and aimpoint-wannabe on order from Amazon.

Can't wait to pick it up!
