Was listening to the news on the radio last week and they said that a paroled man was arrested in his home after an inspection showed he was in possession of a "sawed-off BB gun".

Not sure what rules are placed on Paroled people but is this really illegal? Are they not allowed to even own BB guns?

That would be because some city ords make air rifles/bb guns firearms.

maybe if he committed a crime with a BB gun in the past, otherwise felons are free to have air powered toy guns
or city/town laws maybe?

This was in Santa Cruz. I'm not aware of any BB/Pellet gun restrictions.

Not only can you buy a short barrel BB gun, you can buy a BB machine gun with a 400 round magazine.

Gosh, can you imagine the havoc you could wreak with that gun and a row of blackbirds? How about a flock of pigeons on a beach? HAHAH!

I'm thinkin' it might work well for the gopher infestation I have in my backyard. Those little buggars are fast, so if I could hit them with 3-4 BBs in a single trigger pull before they can pop back down the hole, they might spread the word to their buddies that my yard has just become a "bad neighborhood".
