How does it work? Do you just insert the tip of the bullet into the hole on the bottom? Will it work on a PSL? Thank you!

its pretty simple it installs on over the mag lever theres 2 screws that are thread across where the trigger guard is and 2 set screws that set them in place and to drop the mag you can use the tip of the bullet or a screwdriver or any tool to fit through the hole

Just ordered two, thanks. It was nice talking to you on the phone earlier this afternoon also.
I have a bunch of AK's. Let me know if you need any feedback on the locks.

Website indicates there's 4 units in stock, is that accurate?

By the way, great job on the re-design of the website, one of the better
designed sites I've seen in this business. Keep up the great work.

Just wondering if it will work on a Saiga?

Since they mount to the trigger guard also, it should work with a converted Saiga, but not with a stock one. When I get my hands on the lock, I'll try them on all of my AK's to confirm.

you know i tried it on my S12 and it really depends on who did the pistol grip conversion example if they used a tromix guard it should work and or the AK trigger guard and did mods to where there is no gap between the lever example Aloha's coversions that i have seen probaly would not work

Free bump!

Got some of these new locks and the quality is awesome! It seems as i it would work on anymost any AK style system, as long as the trigger and magazine paddle are right next to each other.

Are you saying this will work on a Tromix DIY TG or a Tromix custom shop welded TG?

Looks and fits great on my Romanian AIM-74 clone. This "bullet button" AK mag lock is built like a "tank" and was very easy to install. I would not recommend actually using a bullet tip to try and release the magazine, but a slim tool will work just fine. It's a pretty solid bolt on mag lock.

Clearance is not an issue with the Romanians, including the PSL.

However, the locks will have a problem with Russian, Chinese, and Bulgarian AK's. Not really a problem with which country they were imported from, but because of the length of the mag release lever. They are not all the same. The three mentioned are much longer.

Will this work on a converted Saiga 12 with the tromix trigger guard? I have all the parts for the conversion but I'm holding off untill I find a bullet button that will work with the conversion.

So has anyone used this BB with the tromix trigger guard successfully? Thanks...

I have the tromix trigger guard on mine. It works but its not as solid as I'd like it to be. It might work better if you had a standard ak trigger guard but not with the Tromix.

Nice, Thanks for the pick. I found this one too... I emailed the company and they told me they just redesigned it so it would work with the tromix trigger guard.

I think I want to see what it looks like before I spend anymore money on keeping this thing compliant.

I just got my hands on the improved model. A nicely added feature is the elongated slit in the bottom for better latch manipulation. These new "bullet button" locks will also work on either AK's, or non converted Saiga's as well. I test fitted it on everything I have. It works great.
