Forgive me if it's been discussed before.

But what is the best "aftermarket high cap" mags for the 10/22 priced around $20 + or - ?

I have a bunch of grandfathered Butler Creeks, Ramlines, etc. All jam, and are pretty old.

Curious as to what the current "good ones" are nowadays.

I've had very good luck with all 4 of my factory Ruger mags, though it seems that my clear mags are a bit of a tighter fit than the standard black ones. I picked them up for about $16.

The most reliable are Ruger factory mags. They are easy to clean, easy to find, and priced under $20.

10 round Steel Lips from Butler Creek or the 10 round factory Ruger rotary magazines.

Opps, sorry....I meant "high cap" mags.....not the standard 10 rounders. I know the factory mags are actually the best for the 10 rounders.

I want to know about the aftermarket 20-50 rounders.

Tactical Innovations 25rd. Polycarbonate (poly lips) $25, aluminum (poly lips) $40, or composite (steel lips) $45+. These can be taken apart, cleaned, or, if your high cap mags have completely crapped out, the parts from old BC mags are interchangeable with the TI-25 (follower, spring, and maybe the lips). You'll just have to smash your old ones with a hammer to get to the parts.

Good luck finding those TI-25s. I think they're out of stock from most of the dealers.

I bought 3 Ramline 50 rounders before the 2000 ban. They all fed fine, then cracked and split after about 7 or 8 uses. Complete junk. Now I only have the factory Ruger 10 rounders.

I too have had bad luck with my Ramline 50's. I don't know if I even got seven uses out of them before they crapped out.

Been meaning to take them apart and try to fix them, but have my doubts about how well THAT will work out with me doing the work.

Hey, I have one of the ramline 50 rounders that is cracked and the top "lips" are all chipped away. Is there a way to rebuild it so that I can legally have a functional 50 round mag or should I toss it?

I vote for the Ruger factory mags. They are reliable and easy to find for around $15.99.
