I'm selling a Super Rare bone stock pre 70 series Colt Government Model, electroless nickel finish (yellowish), polished sides. Has shelf/drawer wear over the years. It has scratches under the slide stop area and some nicks. This a very nice pistol. Comes with an original 7 round magazine. No original box unfortunately. Great condition! Bought it 2 years ago and would like to get $1,300.00 for it. I'm in Riverside, 91 fwy and Central Ave.

how do you have a pre-series 70 colt in a nickel finish? Did you get that done?

Hi, This gun is all original and has'nt been refinished in any ways. The former owner might have ordered it from Colt this way.

lol. Everybody's 1911 has that same scratch from the first time trying to put the slide lock back in.

Your pistol is a BRIGHT nickel finish and it looks very much original from the
1960's. The satin finish on the front of the frame and the top of the slide
is correct, brite nickel Colt's from any time are rare. Pete

It's not a good idea to post your home phone on a public forum like this. Email or PM the OP with that info.

Nice gun. My primary 1911 is a commerical colt. In my opinion commercial colts are superior to any other colts out there.
