i found 5 boxes of these in the ammo stock and i was wondering what people think of them. im assuming they are at least 8 years old probably older

they are winchester superX Xpediter 29gr. hollow points. it says they have extra high velocity, the maximum within industry standards

They were Winchester's version of the CCI minimags. I don't know if they're still being made.

yea i dont think they are, now they make just regular .22lr superX

They are kind of more like the Remington Viper or Yellow Jacket than the CCI minimags as they are hyper velocity. Kind of their answer to the CCI stinger but like the Federal Spitfire, the Winchester load was discontinued. I have a full brick of the xpiditer ammo.

I'd maybe hang on it it as an interesting collectible but I see no real reason you could not shoot it.

Interesting ammo---10-15 years old---will work in some semi-autos, but not all---groups could be OK with some guns---shotgun like with others---better to find some "bulk" packs if you can find any now for just plinking.
