update,

got the lower sometime last week (fast shipping)

The finish doesnt match my anvil arms lower... Its a flat black.
The T-markings are very clean and easy to read.

Fit and finish is also top notch with my lower. M4 feed ramps as stated.. This is my first AR build so i have nothing to compare against but i am very happy with this upper.

No. Only DPMS can build a DPMS upper with this receiver.

But you can put together an upper that will fit on a DPMS lower just as easily--given the correct tools.

maybe i should restate, would DPMS parts fit onto this receiver to create a complete and working upper?

No, only lowers can be used to build working lowers.
Uppers are used to build working uppers.

If by parts you mean the dust shield, forward assist, etc.. then yes!

You're SOL with this receiver based on the pic: it doesn't have the accomodation for the Forward Assist. But everything else should work.

ETA: Now I see the Forward Assist well. I was looking at my LCD from the wrong angle.

really? it looks like it does to me? whats the little part sticking out towards the end. if it has that, doesn't it mean it can take forward assist?

Ooops looking at my screen off angle (contrast sucks then). yeah it has a Forward Assist well.

You'll also need a barrel with an M4 barrel extension (AKA extended Feed Ramps)

yeah, it definitely has a forward assist... i wil post some pix once i get all the goodies attached.

Right now, i only have the bolt carrier group. the rest of the DPMS upper parts (minus the PRI Gas Buster charging handle) are coming in today.

You did say upper, he for some reason changed it to lower when he quoted your post..

No he originally said lower.

Gose didn't change anything.

Look at the original post time stamps and then look at the bottom of mydogsmonkey's post for the edit timestamp.
