Ok, I am moving soon. She-who-must-be-obeyed is letting (read:making) me build a room for storing my collection. Now here is my problem. I need to find the best way to store about 140 long guns. The room itself will be concrete walls with a heavy steel door. And I have three safes that will hold anything that is actually valuable (ok, well, valuable to me anyway). My question is what are my options for storing the rest of the guns on racks? Does anybody have any ideas or websites that I could look at? She has started planning layouts, and if I don't come up with something soon, she is going to be pissed. HELP!

Thanks guys. That is the kind of stuff I needed. As for having this problem, I've been collecting WWI and WWII rifles for almost 20 years. Most of those I picked up in the 90's, when nobody wanted milsurps. And Johnson's Guns and Guitars was still open to feed my addiction. Now that my wife has gotten an true estimate of how many I have, she is muttering things like "arsenal" and "more than some Banana Republics". I've had to tone it down for the past 8-9 years, but the collection seems to have it's own gravity at this point. I don't try to accumulate more of them, but the occasional stray rifle just seems to get sucked into it's orbit every so often. Give yourself 20 years and a C&R, and then see where you are...
