Very little recoil compared to others. Some people think Benellis have more recoil but I don't see it. It's super easy for me to shoot.

is that carbon fiber?
No. Looks cool but it's just normal synthetic with a carbon fiber finish. I'm actually surprised how many people sell this as real carbon fiber. I correct gunbroker sellers all the time.

A high-tech work of art in a firearm to be sure. It is a beautiful semi-auto shot gun for sure--especially with that high-tech steel and carbon-fiber finish. To me (my individual prejudice I admit), that's what semi-autos should look like because they are the ultimate high-tech scattergun machines. That one is simply elegant and superb in its design.

One day I'll get one of those beautiful machines, but right now I favor the simpler classic O & U doubles--choice of two chokes, easy cleaning, almost never fail designs with engraving but with a little more recoil just to remind you (and your shoulder) there is no free lunch. I have a Beretta 20 gauge (no felt recoil--really I could shoot it all day) and am in the process of acquiring a 12 gauge which will probably make me wish for a semi-auto on a 100-shell sporting clay day.

I have that exact same shotgun! They had a Bennelli demo day over at Oaktree gun club, I shot a bunch and fell in love with the supersport and bought the 30" stainless on the spot! Had to wait 10 days to pick it up of course.

mmm. benelli makes some purdy shotguns. but that is a new one for me. vey nice.

Notice a huge difference in weight vs other models? youd thinkt hat carbon fiber would make it really light and increase the felt kick.

After about 25 cases of shells thru my Supersport, 12ga, 28", at skeet and sporting clays, This is my take

The good...Light weight, very fast cycle, hard to ding the furniture, easy to load, easy to clean, no FTF

Things to contemplate.... Long reciever makes 28" Barreled gun as long as a 32" O/U and may slow finding the bird. (Light weight may compensate for this).... Spent shell ejects a long way to the right. If you use for trap or 5 stand you will really tick the guy to your right off

Things to fix... Mine patterned very low from the factory. Experimenting with the included stock shims brought it back. Pattern your gun before making any bets, Bolt lever and release button are both small and sharp. You will wear a hole in your thumb in a 100 round match. Oversized fixs are avaiable at your local gunsmith

For me it's a keeper

I have the super sport as well, in 12 ga. I like it, but I was hoping the recoil would be a little less. The pump that I used before didn't seem to be any worse, but it had a thick soft recoil pad. I have put 3 or 4 hundred rounds through mine in an afternoon though.

I love the gun, but it seems to slap me in the cheek every time I fire it. I tried changing the shims and had no luck. Next I am going to get some professional instruction on how to properly shoot clays. I don't know if I am holding the shotgun incorrectly or if it just isn't a good fit for me. My brother also had the same problem with my gun but not the older pump that we used before. He hasn't had any good instruction with a shotgun either.

My shoulder can handle the recoil just fine, but my face can't.:D

Even if it is not real carbon fiber furniture it is still sexy. Very nice. :)

Dude, that is a gorgeous shotgun. I really like that one, and the beretta teknys, and SX3 competition. Those are my fave 3 competition style guns.

Thats a great gun - I have the Super Sport and the Sport II & have put thousands of rounds through them & I still smile every time I pick it off the rack and head out onto the field - Enjoy
