Found this on the thread:

Why does anybody even subscribe to HBO. They have used your money for anti-gun propaganda more than once. Time-Warner is a mouth piece for the Brady Bunch. Get rid of their Cable service if you can too...

I seem to remember one piece they called "Every 60 Seconds", which claimed that somebody gets shot every minute. Multiply 60 minutes x 24 hours and you get 1440 shootings per day. 1440 x 365 = 525,600 dead people annually. Such BS is hardly close to the FBI uniform crime reports...

Time Warner and HBO, this is for you.....:18:

That's quite a leap from 1440 shootings a day to over a half a million people dead.

Just because you get shot doesn't mean you are going to die. I believe more people that get shot live than die.

I wish I could disconnect my cable, I hate Time Warner and their service, but I can't get dish, no view of the southern sky, and U-verse/Fios isn't available because they haven't ran the fiber optics to my neighborhood yet.:(
I'm basically stuck supporting these scumbags...unless someone knows of a service I haven't mentioned.

I avoid Time Magazine since reading:

"Time's Anti-Gun Agenda
A systematic assault on firearms-owners and the Second Amendment"

Oh... now it makes sense. I thought the Cable Guy was hooking us up with a subscription to BHO, and then I had to wonder why we were getting all these teevee dramas... what happened to the campaign videos?

Seriously, though, never had cable, and no plans to get it installed. What a waste of money.

No cable here... just using over-the-air HD broadcast + Netflix for movies and TV series.

I don't pay a dime for my video entertainment.

With as many websites out there such as hulu and netflix, do you need HBO/Cinemax/Shotime anymore?

No. TV especially mainstream news is pretty far down on the priority list in my life. I watch the local news and even that irks me most of the time.

Yeah, I refuse to pay for cable. I'd have voted if that was an option, but as it says "don't have them on my plan" I didn't.

I'm surprised at how many people feel the same way.

Actually AOL is a big time christian organization and they discriminate against other belief systems. And time warner got rid of AOL a while back from their portfolio.

I cancelled my HBO movie package a few months back when I realized what an f'd up organization they are.

I just use the plain old antenna up the chimney. We have 5 channels, 6 if you squint.
The old tv box hums and will get replaced sometime after Jun09 when and if the switch actually happens.
I have already made my HDTV antenna so I'm ready. Amazon will deliver a new Samsung free.

No cable here.

And I thought AOL went out of business.

This sounds like a very good reason to bans the sale of assault weapons in the U.S. I can't wait for Holder and BHO to start with this.

Same here.

I disconnected my Cable (F***ing Charter Communications) because the monthly bill amounted to $150 a month.

With Direct TV, I am in a plan that I pay $200 a year, but no premium channels (so no HBO for me).

About TWC, I never had them since they don't serve my area.

Remember, though.. Band of Brothers was an HBO production...and "The Pacific, which airs sometime soon and follows the 1st Marine Division in the Pacific.

They get a couple brownie points for that right there.

No HBO or any premium channels here, however I use Time-Warner for my broadband connection, and I can't go without Fox Soccer Channel and ESPN2 for UEFA Champions league football. So for now they stay.
