For those that don't have pre-2000 magazines, what is everyone using for 10 round mags? It looks like NRA rules stipulate that the magazine be either a 20 or 30 round body.

I've been contemplating either creating my own 10/20's out of C-Products rebuild kits or just getting the 10/20 factory modified C-Products mags.

What are your thoughts on the following tutorial:

The Colt 10 rounders that are a little bit larger than the usuial mag body of other five & ten round mag companies mags or the two piece 10 rounders that have a plastic block form fitted to the bottom of the metal mag body that gives mag the USGI aluminium 20 rounder shape are the ones I choose !

I use two Promag 10/20 mags (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=138112) for competition. They're $22.50 a pop now. In March 08 Midway had them for $14.99. I should have bought a few more...

Of the two I bought, one fit really nice in the mag well, but the second one wouldn't come out unless I pulled it out. Wrapped a rag around it and squeezed it gently with pliers to make it a little thinner, and presto - works great now. Never had a single FTF or FTE with either.
