I wonder why they will only sell certain lowers to California.

Is that a manufacturers requirement?

Don't know, but they did respond to an e-mail inquiry I had quickly...

Panic is subsiding. You will start to see prices drop back to around normal levels in the coming weeks.

Panic is subsiding. You will start to see prices drop back to around normal levels in the coming weeks.

Perhaps more specifically:

Bank accounts subsiding due to gun safes bulging with enough new rifles, parts and ammo to last 3 generations . . . resulting in wives withholding marriage benefits.

Conjugal deprivation is an effective therapeutic cure for panic buying.

So if you order this what is the total? Price of lower, shipping, and dros? So whats the average you look in spending total if you order this?

$130 plus shipping to your ffl (at least $16) plus your DOJ paperwork and FFL
fees. (my ffl is very inexpensive and my fees only totaled $45) the FFL fee will vary widely!!! (not the DROS fee)

Close to $200 give or take.

Anyone have a low cost FFL in the north San Diego County area? I am looking at $50 and would like it to be less...

Just to add on, I was quoted from 3 different FFL's for transfers were wanting 1. $75 2. $90 & 3. $105? So, much for a deal.....
Which was in Ventura area..

I agree the shipping is too much no doubt.

However, this is a good deal if you actually think about it. I have a dealer who does $75 for everything, all fees, that's about the cheapest you'll find. So It comes out to about $220 all said and done. Even if you find a $200 lower at a dealer (rarely) you have to pay them $25 for dros + tax so that's $245 or so. Everything little part you save on when building a complete adds up.

Now if you can find a lower for about $100 (goodluck) you've got a deal.

So I guess I shouldn't complain about my FFL charging $50 + Dros.

Yea I haven't found anything cheaper than that, but who knows...

Last time I was in sierra they said that they wouldnt do it, would rather not deal with ronning. Would be willing to travel a bit if anyone else knows a good spot.

I was at Sierra today and they said $100, but you could tell they didn't really like the idea. They have Lauer Arms lowers for $270. I am looking for someone in the area for the same reason.

CalArmory was selling some lowers for $175 not to long ago. I believe they were Del-ton. They are up the hill a bit from Sacto. Might be worth the drive.

You should have gone to Uncle Paul's Exchange. They only charge $45 transfer + $25 DROS = $70 Total.

This post says that J&R Sport Supply in Livermore does transfers for $25. Got to give these guys a call. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=63050&highlight=oll+friendly
