Last time I disassembled my AK I incorrectly installed the Hammer Pin Retaining Spring. As a result, my AK would fire a round and then fail to eject the spent casings, forcing me to manually eject the shells and chamber another round. I've since trouble shooted and fixed the problem, but it gave me an idea. Instead of fixing magazines in place, is there a simple alteration that we can make to the Hammer Pin Retaining Spring so that the rifle is no longer a semi-auto? I guess this would be the same principle as having a pump-action AK but it would be easily reconfigured back to semi-auto if you leave the state or in a SHTF situation.
