sorry, yeah they go real fast. Should have yours done by Thursday.

Not sure I can still get the old style pmags. I am working this mod on the new "M" styles getting close but its still time consuming to do.

Getting the old mags is tough.I can offer a trade in option. Send in your old pmags as a core and I send you a stubby with just a build charge. Send me a pm if you are interested.

Vinz, Pmag made a big change to the 30 round body.... You can't get enough lip on the lower body rib to hold the base plate.. I tried making one with a new body and it doesn't work...:(

yep, I found that out a while back. I have been trading new M pmags for used older style mags but looks like they are starting to dry up.

I do have a solution for making stubby M pmags but its very time consuming and expensive. Good news is it will allow you to swap the base plates. If I can figure out how to do it cheaper I will start making more to sell.

as per law I do have to lock it down with epoxy to make it a permanent modification. Sorry, I don't make the rules but I do have to follow them.

As a side note you can pour soap and water down the opening and hose the hell out of it. Then just dry it out with compressed air. I do it all the time in the kitchen sink.

Isn't cutting it to fit 10 rounds the "permanent modification?" someone clear this up, I'm curious..

These are made with a spacer. Without it you can fit 12 rounds. If someone were to open it up and remove the spacer someone could get into some trouble.

Couldn't the spacer be fastened to the follower permanently and then still be able to be taken apart and cleaned? (that's what I did ) I didn't know the base plate would have to be (by written law) permanantly affixed.

I should have more soon. Lets see how my supplier is doing. I hope he can give me a hand with these.

I will re-open this thread if I do continue making them.

Couldn't the spacer be fastened to the follower permanently and then still be able to be taken apart and cleaned? (that's what I did ) I didn't know the base plate would have to be (by written law) permanantly affixed. I understand but I'm just playing it safe and just making them this way. Plus it might take up more cranial grease than I can apply at this time. I believe it applies to magazines that are modified to fit 10 rounds. If someone removed the base plate and installed a factory stock base plate, they can create a 12 round magazines.

I don't do this for a living so I try to do things as easy as possible. You should see the hell im facing trying to get the "M" style to work....in a cheap manner. No one would pay $50 a mag from all the material necassary for me to make them nice.

I do appreciate the positive input.....email me please and we can go over some better ideas.

Sink with a compressor...that's what I need! :43: haaa haaaa Tim Allens mans kitchen F-N ROCKS!!! :D
