Like the title says I am looking to approximate a military .308 load for the M1a. I am looking for recipes for a 150 grn load - bullet, powder and primer. I am thinking of using varget because of shooting in desert enviroments and high temps. Any help would be welcomed.

I loaded 150grn bullet 42.6 grs with IMR 4895 with Federal 210 large rifle primers. Seated at the cannelure

most military .308's are 147/150grn you are correct. As long as you have IMR 4895 powder, LR primers (for best, CCI BR2) and if you REALLY want to go the extra mile, get Lake City brass ;)
