Built on a Remmy 700 BDL LA, stock trigger reworked, 7mm RM, #9 Krieger 9 twist SS 26", oversized lug, B&C Medalist A2 stock, Williams bottom metal, Harris w/Pod Lock, AZ Precision bolt knob, Seekins rings/20 MOA base and Vortex Viper 6.5-20 MD. All smithing by RW Snyder in Iowa.
Shes all ready to shoot. Just gotta load some rounds and hit the range:thumbsup:

So overall not too bad to start out. Was using R22/19 and Retumbo with 162 gr AMAX. Retumbo was no good, R19/22 about the same with the 22 at 65.5 gr. the best by a slight margin. These were all 5 rounds at 100 off bipod and rear bag. Did throw one in the second group.

Don't need em. I shoot instinctive, same as shooting a longbow:43:

Wow! Very very nice! Good to see the non-adjustable Medalist on a rifle...it's the stock I plan on using on my next build and yours is the first that I've seen that really shows how the stock sits.

Well done!

You must not be counting the cost of the rifle.
Krieger blanks run $280
The B&C Medalist runs $210 - $250
The Harris Bipod runs about $60
AZ Precision charges $50 for the bolt knob change

So that's $610-$650 not including the shipping or the recoil lug.

Your gunsmith must have given you a heck of a discount for the chambering, threading, crowning and installation of your barrel, not to mention the trigger job.

Correct, rifle was passed on to me when my uncle died. I sold the optics which paid for the BM and stock. The blank, chambering, bedding, lug, etc., and shipping was 590.00. Bipod was 100.00, knob was a special deal. No special discount on smithing, just his usual cost.

Looks good! Tell me how the stock feels once you get the chance to put a few rounds through it.

Nice stick! I'm planning on having a budget precision rifle build as well soon. Similar specs, in .308.

Yep, Krylon camo paint. Cheap, easy, and can re-do if necessary:thumbsup:

Don't look BUDGET rifle anymore. Looks like a expensive custom rifle. I guess in essence it is. Hope it shoots as good as it looks.

How long did RWS take? Thinking of having him do one or a few for me.

I got it back about 2 weeks ago, he recieved it end of November. The barrel is what took so long. Close to 12 weeks. Roberts a great guy and does awesome work for really reasonable prices.

So far, I like it. Clear glass, nice turrets with audible/tactile detents, smooth mag. adjustment. Scott at Liberty Optics swears by them. He says he's never had one returned so that says something I suppose.

We need a range report. I've been hearing good things about his work. Thought I might take a chance.

So after he got the barrel, how long did it take him?

Awesome! Is the B&C Medalist A2 stock a drop in stock or does it need some gunsmithing to fit?

Not sure. Probably a month.

So far, its a really nice optic, especially for the price.

Is the B&C Medalist A2 stock a drop in stock or does it need some gunsmithing to fit?
It is a drop in but, it really needs a skim bedding and lug bedding. You could just drop in and shoot but, bedding keeps the action from moving and is repeatable if/when you R&R the action.

Thanks for all the thumbs up. Hopefully a range report in the next couple of weeks.
