The search function never really helped w/ my question. Why can't you get one? lamworld said they would sell but that it was to long.can't you just get a different flashhider/compensator to get to 30"? and no one makes a bullet button for one? wouldn't the AK style one be close?
I could have bought a real galil in 96- but the HK91's and springfield 48's were cheaper.I wish that I had a better job back then!!

I know CWS had some in for like $1099. A bit rich for me, especially since they were priced at their Texas store for like $200 less. . . .

All you need is a muzzle device that will make the rifle reach 30" when folded. As for the mag lock, I am not familiar with Galils but there are several for the AK. Hopefully the AK BBs will work on the Galils. Others will chime in with more info

If you add on a brake, there are wood thumbhole stocks out there which can be plugged and used to create a featureless rifle. This is great assuming you bought Galil mags before the 2K ban.

.223 AK mags can also be modified to fit (10 rounders).

Henderson Defense is where to get them when he has them. He disassembles the gun to comply with ca so he can ship them to your ffl. The roll pin that holds the stock comes out, flash suppresor is off and the pistol grip is removed. To keep it a folder you can get a 4 inch flash hider.

I have no use for a folder so I pinned mine and used an ak raddlock. Only problem I have is finding 10rd mags

Gm4spd is right. Just get the sniper brake (looks better) it's 4in and then use ak raddlock. The folding feature is why I bought it.

so if the 4" extension for the muzzle brake and the bullet button is installed it's legal? I was just going to make a spacer like the old ar mags had (does any one remember?) that everyone threw away.they were just stamped steel that was U shaped and fitted from the bottom of the mag and the follower bottomed @ 5 rounds.Does any one know the length of the galil w/ stock folded? I was going to buy a FN PARA w/ carbine barrel but between the $500 and even more expensive ammo I would prefer the galil. Thanks for all the replies,Mike.

The Century Golani in this folded configuration is exactly 29.25 inches long with the factory flash suppressor.

by jove you're right. that brake doesn't look bad for an extension. most look like ble steel dildos. i think jumbopanda's mag lock would work with no mods. an ak style mmg will also work, the galil p/g was copied from the hungarian. you would need to cut for the safety.

How do the mags lock in with that? Would the raddlock still work? I'm not going the featureless route so I need to be able to lock the ar mag in and from what I can tell...the ar mag is detachable although the adapter is locked in.
