Never thought I would see them for sale again, M70AB1 is basically a monster AK47.
Better finish than WASR, beefier parts than Saigas. Not Chome Lined. Probably gonna need a middle man FFL

So how do we get them here? I'd like to get one of their PSL's but I don't want to deal with the "OMIGODCALIFORNIAOMIGOD" over the phone.

If they use new U.S. barrels, why dont they use chrome lined? Is it that much more expensive?

Zastava's were a much better made AK version,at least the one I
owned way back in the 80s---it even came with folding nite sites. Pete

The parts are from EDIT TO ADD YUGOSLAVIA ( I MIXED UP MY EASTERN BLOC)Romania, but the receiver, barrel, and several other parts are American made. They are assembled by Century Arms who have spotty quality checks. If you get a good one, you are good to go.

I didn't know Romanians made M70AB1 AKs. You must be getting them confused with the Romanian WASRs?

Anyone ordering one?

the romanian wasr are imported by century and deneutered here. basically they open up the magwells and install the compliance parts. the yugo's are made here from yugo parts kits. the century yugo's don't have that many problems at least not as much as the wasrs did and the build quality is good. i might get one in a couple of months.

Yugos are made by Zastava. Unless if theres a Zastava in Romania, they are/were made in the former Yugoslavia/current Serbia. This is where we get the name "Yugo" from when talking about M70s and the like. They are quite nice rifles. Very beefy

Almost thought it was one of these. I can't seem to find any info on them now. Maybe the Zastava made ones aren't going to happen.

These are not manufactured by Zastava.

These are refinished Yugo parts on a USA made reciever and has a USA made non-chrome lined barrel.

The front trunions I have seen are marked Zastava Arms. After seeing the quality of these rifles, I would not be surprised if they are assembled here. They are gone already :(
