Finally finished. Remington 700 LTR in .308. I'm planning to use this baby out to 600 yards max. Anything beyond that gets taken care of by my .338 Lapua. The trigger was adjusted down to 2.5 lbs. I bought a counter sniper 3-9 for the optics. I did a bunch of research on counter sniper and came up with mixed reviews. I have to say after looking through the glass I am very impressed with the quality so far. Great price as well. I haven't shot it yet, so I can't verify how well it will hold up. I'm planning on giving it a light camo paint job when I get the balls and courage to do so. I'm going to be using my hand loads, so I'm looking for sub MOA. I don't think it will be a problem. Hopefully, I'll have a range report in a week. I would shoot it tomorrow, but I'm off turkey hunting for the day.

A special thanks to member JMZ for the rifle. It was a pleasure dealing with him:thumbsup:

I had the longer barrels version in .223 and it shot right at .75" at 100 yrds. with black hills 68gr bullets. so you should be able to get that or better with handloads. nice stick!

Nice - now get yerself a stock! You can snatch up a B&C light tactical (A5 style but non-adjustable) for a hair over $200.

Sweet looking rifle, but it looks like the scope is sitting kind of high. How's the cheek weld?

It's not high at all for me. I'm 6'1", so maybe that helps. The cheek weld is comfortable and everything lines up perfectly. Now wcnones has me thinking about an aftermarket stock:rolleyes: I'm going to see how this one shoots first. If I can ring out my holes, them I'm going to leave it alone.

It'll shoot fine with the current stock; the big difference is in how YOU FEEL when shooting fine. When I put the B&C on the baby-that-is-no-longer-mine, I felt as if I was Zeus, hurling thunderbolts upon helpless Athenian raiders.

Feel like Zeus...get a godlike stock. Get this one (http://shootersdiscount.com/cart/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=700) for $420, or this one (http://shootersdiscount.com/cart/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1136) for $206. You will not regret it.

Now you've got me thinking about a new stock...
