I got some gunslick brand foaming bore cleaner.Thought I'd try it out.The stuff worked good...so good I couldnt beleive it.So good,it kinda got me worried.I was using it in my .50 cal so it was real easy to see the effect down the bore. The copper fouling that was uneffected by much scrubbing with copper solvent was gone.In looking at the label, it states that the product is corrosive. It also says to be sure not to get it in your guns action. My questions are:Does this stuff eat away at the bore at all(I mean,if it's gonna eat the inside of your action, how does it know not to eat the barrel?)Also, when you are done cleaning, does a simple wipe with oil neutralize such harshness? Please reply with knowledge as I can speculate on my own.Thanks.

Dry the bore thoroughly first, then oil well. That's it.

I use wipe-out. It suppose to be safe to use and it seems to work when I use it. However, the manufacturer states that it may discolor AR aluminum parts to a dull grey.
