I have been backordered for nearly 3 months waiting for the UBR Stock. It will be $293 including tax/shipping for a brand new one. I can get a like new one that was installed for an hour and taken off. It has a little scuff on the bottom and it is selling for $305. Opportunity cost... hmm...

What would you do? I kind of am willing to wait since everyone buys all of the Federal .223 every time it comes in to walmart, and the manager doesn't even know the last time it came in since they don't log when people buy it out. I have 180 rounds of match grade ammunition, but I want some plinking stuff! :(

How about an A1 stock, it looks better and costs $280 less. How ever you go you are overpaying. Its a stock, it goes aginst your shoulder. use the money you save to get a reloading kit, then you will have plenty of ammo and wont look silly

I was more thinking of balancing out my rifle. I have a 9" daniel defense rail, but I want to switch it over to a 12" rail. I suppose I could keep the 9" and get a cheap stock? Hmm

I would get the used one....instant gratification is always good.

Well, say I kept the 9" daniel defense rail, would the UBR stock be impractical? I plan on taking off the BCM M4 front sight and adding a flip up front/rear sight anyway so I might try to get a 12" but I would have to uninstall this one and then sell it... Lol

no. The UBR is a bit weighty....It would balance well with a 12 and even a 9. I do the same thing....I used the UBR to counter a heavy barrel piston upper, I also used a SOPMOD to counter a Heavy Barrel middy....you should be GTG.

Ok, cool thanks. I will probably get it tomorrow then.

Buy that used one. Who knows when the UBR will be made again. You can wet sand that scuff and put some WD-40 on it and it'll look like new.

If you don't buy it, PM me the info!

Lol, thanks for the advice guys. He has a 2nd person in line supposedly... I will PM you the info if it doesn't work out. I just have to make sure I can spend the $$ and not screw with any of my funding since I am finishing up this semester.

You can get an A2 w/all the guts for $65.

The UBR is sure pretty, but it's heavy and expensive (for plastic). What could you do with that extra $230? hmmm...

Funny, I just finished building 2 lowers for a friend. Both CMMG MOD4SA's with RRA LPK's, one A2 stock and grip, the other UBR and MIAD grip. Damn that's a lot of acronyms for one sentence. Anyways the UBR is quite heavy but I like it a lot more now that I have seen/felt it IRL. I'll pick one up when/if they drop back down to $250ish.

Get it...I like the UBR for front heavy guns (SIG 556 for example)...but for a standard M4 build, I rather use a EMOD or SOPMOD because those balance better (the UBR makes the rear end too heavy...)

Magpul needs to make a lightweight UBR...L-UBR....hmmm.....that's not right...
