I've made the calls to the people sending parts kits to ensure that no FA parts are included. I've been told that the hammer, spring and trigger all need to be swapped out anyway to avoid issues with 922. I have a Tapco G2 set included in the parts kit to deal with this issue.

For those who are bending a flat, are there any issues that cause problems aside from the usual "avoid SB23 violations" stuff? I am going to be doing the hands-on work, so there won't be any concern regarding who made the rifle.

Thanks!

I'll say it before everyone else says it....."Make sure it's an AK Builder flat with AK Builder rivets".

I can't comment on legality issues though since I'm a noob.

If you already own a Saiga or Lancaster AK, my understanding is that you must ensure that there are no FA parts in your kits. Otherwise, you could be accused of constructive possession, correct?

I'm new to the AK arena myself, but I did see this thread a few days back:

It addresses the very issue you are inquiring about.
