Hypothetical question:
You buy a gun and start dros and sign the safe waiver because (obviously) you have a safe there so you don't have to buy a "locking device." Then the owner, who lives in the same house, of the safe decides that they *might* sell it and if they do it will be gone before you go to pickup the gun from the FFL. So you decide to play it safe and now want to buy a "locking device" just in case it is gone before you. Can you throw out the waiver and buy a locking device at the shop when you go to pick up the gun or will that require you to start the 10 day and dros all over again?

lol i say pick up the gun at the end of your dros and a locking device so you can be extra safe and lock the gun in or out of a safe. Everyone needs a good gun lock anyway

You don't have to use the waiver. Just tell them you would like to buy a lock and walk out with your new gun. No starting DROS over.

The law says you must own a safe or have access to one in order to fill out the safe affidavit.

You can have access to mine. It's a Sentry 14-gun. There. Done.
