Got an spoterized FN mauser chambered in 30-06 the other day, but I am having difficulties ID in the model # of the action because it is not stamped anywhere on the rifle.

-The receiver is stamed FAB.NAT.D'AMES de GUERRE HERSTAL-BELIQUE
-Serial # 0200XX
- also it has an insignia, what after alot of internet research looks similar to a Venezualan Mauser (scope mount covers majoroity of insignia)
- but the bolt does not match the one I say on similar Venezualan Mausers.

Post a pic of what's showing of the crest and I can probably nail it down for you. Is the 06 barrel a military stepped barrel?

looks like an aftermarket barrel but can't find a brand mark.

That's because someone replaced the trigger with a Timney adjustable. Probably a Mauser 98 large ring FN 24 or FN 30 Short rifle.
