So my FFL called me this morning and told me that DOJ has informed my FFL that I cannot pick up my OLL until further notice. He then gave me the number to DOS's "Purchaser Clearance Unit". I have no idea what it could be about. I had a pending misdemeanor charge (that was not a disqualifying factor, not on probation or any order of the court to not own or purchase firearms) that dropped for something stupid I did a couple years ago, but other than that I do not see why they are delaying me. Any suggestions?

Call the DOJ monday.. there could be any number of reasons.. The most common rejection that I get is a DMV conflict, usually related to the physical address on the DROS not matching the DMV records.

so it might not be a big deal at all? im really hoping its not, but im freaking out right now, especially cus i have the complete gun minus the lower on my desk right now waiting to be put toghether......its just not something i wanted...and my license is current with my current physical address.
another thing, have any of the experiences resulted in not being able to pick up the firearm?

As stated above 90%+ of these are DMV screw ups. It could also be that there is someone with a similar name who has a restraining order out or something.
Call them up. Don't worry about it. If there is something truly surprising, don't talk about it, politely end the call and call a lawyer.
However I'd bet you that it will be trivial to clear up.

Out of a half dozen purchases the DoJ has put a hold on two. I called the number and asked about it. The first, they asked about an issue back in 1995: "was it a misdemeanor or a felony?" I said "misdemeanor" and they released the hold. The second they asked me to spell my middle name. I did and they released the hold.
I bet it will be simple and you'll be on your way.
Good luck.

i called the DOJ and they are violating my rights, the woman said some unconstitutional things, and i faxed paperwork proving to them i was only being tried for a misdemeanor and it was dropped. well if they dont realease the hold, i will be contacting a lawyer, im not going into detail about what was said.
