That's an average deal, certainly not worth paying shipping or waiting over. But it's not really gouging... What's yer point?

my big 5 is 22.99 for 525 packs. these packs are 550 for $20. you actually save $.01 a round. at 4400 rounds thats $44. depending on shipping you might save some money.

I was just pointing out that they are 550 packs. I know at my Walmart they are never in stock, so to find them is rare. All I can usually find are the 525 packs at that price.

Can't find any Federal bulk packs at Walmart in SD for at least a month now. The counter guy said people camp out at the 24 hour store and find out what was shipped to the other stores. Then get there the minute it opens and buys them all.

You'd think the CCI people would start lowering their prices or producing bulk-packs to compete. The local Walmart ALWAYS has CCI rimfire, and lots of it. It doesn't sell.

It doesnt sell because its too expensive

I'm on the verge of buying a .22, as soon as I get enough scrounged. But I'm thinking about picking up a brick next paycheck, the prices I'm seeing (20+ dollars) is ridiculous. I can recall $7.99 a brick at big 5. In fact just discussing Ammo prices with my old man gets me irritated.

Actually it sells everytime I walk in the door
I use it for hunting, not plinking.
Everytime I go to Walmart I buy a Box or two or Three :43:

I saw 13 of them at a local WalMart the other day. $13.47 each.

That is how much I paid for the last ones, I would love to see some again though.

If people would stop raiding the wal-mart counter and share we wouldnt even have to hunt for ammo.

rip off price... unless you're willing to pay $40 + ship extra for the convenience of not making multiple trips to walmart to get them (multiple = not there in one try, of course).

It may end up costing that much with the amount of gas that it takes to make multiple trips empty handed

CCI is not interested in competing with Federal. They are both owned by ATK. :)

The local Walmart just got a shipment yesterday of 50 rd boxes of Federal, selling at $1.47 per box. I bought 12 boxes, my brother grabbed 20, and there was still plenty left (at least 30 boxes) for you people who constantly preach "share share share".

Nobody shares with me, I have to be PROACTIVE. That means driving to Walmarts and other locations on a constant basis for the sole purpose of seeing whats available. Being proactive does not mean to simply stroll by the ammo shelf the next time you happen to be in Walmart for milk and socks.
