My favorite rifle to shoot besides my Wlather P22-CA Target. I love getting a lot of looks and questions. Also letting others shoot it is more satisfying then shooting it, seeing the ear to ear grin on their faces :D

Release from local police? Why would they take it in the first place? Either they dont know the law or you were doing something you werent supposed to.

i believe they dont know the law, at the time of arrest i was told im being arrested for possession of a illegal firearm (2 lowers, 5 airsoft and 2 boxes of airsoft parts...) 6-7 hours later im finally booked for owning a airsoft ("real") grenade launcher... spent 2 days in jail and release due to DA rejection (i wonder why...) so im stripped of all weapons real and airsoft alike... no worries im starting another set as you can see :)

Took it out to ASR last weekend, 04/25/09, to tune the bolt per Tom at Spikes (trying to help me with my FTE issue).
It was very windy (6-12 mph crosswind) and I found my Federal Bulk ammo was all over the place at only 25 yards.
Met fellow CG'er Davinho there and he offered up some of this Aguila 60 gr ammo. What a difference!
Still have some fine tuning to do, but its almost right.

Read the dust cover. If you don't already know, it's a movie quote but one in very bad taste. Just not appropriate to be posted here.
Not to say what is and what is not appropriate here. But if the Vendor can post up pics of his products, such as that dust cover in the Marketplace then I do not see what is wrong with it.
Also I intended this Thread to be for Dedicated Uppers not those with a conversion kit ;) I really wanted to see all those nifty people's brands and style choices out there. <---Pardon my bad grammar there :)

Ever heard the saying two wrongs don't make a right? I'm not one for political correctness but the foul language coupled with the face that there ARE a few gay people on these boards make the pic unwelcome I would think. Who knows. Maybe I'm wrong.

Isn't it more fun to shoot? :D I was getting lol'd at when I went to Panoche with a group of all .223 and 5.56 shooters. I shot like 1,000 rounds that day between my P22 Target and AR .22 :D :p on those guys, and they only shot like 300 rounds total before their ammo was low or gone :43: I brought 7K rounds of .22LR that day too ;)

Yup. :) I'm usually one of the last ones left at the range while trying to rush to get through the rest of my mags. And I just LOVE not having to use a BB.
When I shoot 5.56 I try to take my time because they never last that long!!

Try the tuning tips located here. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=282&t=168048
Also what ammunition are you using? Federal Bulk Blue box runs great in mine.
You can start by cutting a few rings of the bolt spring. I also installed a lighter hammer spring from JP rifles. Spikes tactical also sells a light hammer spring. I used to have intermittent FTE on my Spikes, but she runs great with the new hammer spring installed. I also polished the hammer were it contacts the bolt, and used Moly lube on the hammer as well.
It will need some tuning, but once you get it right it is damn fun to shoot. Plus troubleshooting is part of the fun, at least for me.
Good luck.

I use the conversion bolt from spikes, my spring is around 6 coils less then what they recommend, and I put back in the original trigger spring. When I put back in the original trigger spring and shot the last 80 rounds I had everything worked perfectly. Alot of my light primer strikes were when trying rapid fire, and a few here and there with normal slow shooting.
The recoil spring cut down helped me with FTE's, the original hammer spring I hope solved the numerous light primer strikes I was getting often with the softer spring I installed along time ago. Dont be scared to cut down the recoil spring, but I bought extras before I did it, my kit never came with extras like alot of people get.

Brown truck dropped off a package from Tactical Solutions today! AR-22 LT Upper with matching Matte Black Compensator (hard to see in pic) and five 10-round BDM magazines. Fit and finish of the upper is excellent, as I've come to expect from Tac Sol. A nice extra touch is the extended latch they use on the charging handle. It makes it easy to manipulate the bolt with one hand.
I posted full specs of the lower in another thread, but basically it's a Noveske N4 + DPMS LPK + Magpul MIAD + Magpul CTR + Noveske QD End Plate + KNS Pins. The fit onto the lower is quite snug, but I'm still able to push the takedown pin in without a punch.
I opted for the LT instead of the M4 or Spike's ST-22 because of weight, and I think I made a good choice. As pictured, unloaded magazine, with H buffer and spring still installed in buffer tube, it weighs around 6.4 pounds. The weight balance is perfect and the knurled Hogue handguard suits me just fine. I was planning to swap it for a Troy TRX Extreme 11" rail, but now I don't think it's necessary.
Range report to follow after the weekend.

I picked up this DPMS upper before I saw the spikes. Still a fine upper :)
Tactical Machining lower, RRA 2-stage trigger, Stag stock, DPMS dedicated .22 upper. This pic was before I had a trigger guard. Mounted with a 4-16 weaver scope for range testing.

Once I zero'd it I was able to get nickle and quarter sized groups regularly at 25 meters and around quarter to 2 inch groups with iron sights and the 8 MOA C-More at 50 meters which is more than acceptable to me for a plinker. I Might scope it to see how tight I can get it later when I can afford a scope for it.

Awsome setup for both. What kind of stock do you have on the 10/22, I'm interested to know what kind of scope that is too. Great setup. Pretty pricy AR just for plinkin but that accuracy seems pretty good for a red dot
The stock is a B&C light target and the scope is a Falcon Menace
it used to be on my Remmington 700 but I replaced it with a Bushnell tactical
the C-more was 200USD which is reasonable

Ah, nice. Yea, I saw those on sale from MidwayUSA, I almost got one. Is that cheek piece on teh B&C stock a custom add on? Where's you get the part to add it on? looks wicked cool.

Lower is LMT Defender w/ A2 Buttstock and Ergogrip.
Upper is retro M16, NOT M16A1 Colt 604 upper. It has the lightweight barrel with 1x12 twist.
Spike's Tactical ST-22 Conversion kit w/ gas tube plug
This is technically a dedicated 22lr upper, because I removed the gas tube. Therefore, I have also installed a magazine release button.
In it's native habitat...

Definitely like the heavier weight on the end compared to the CTR, provides better balance overall to the rifle.
