I am picking up my new Savage Mark II-F rimfire this Friday, however I noticed when purchasing it, it did not come with a scope mount. The receiver is tapped, but Im not sure what mount or base I need.

Here is my model, with the base shown - however I am not sure (1) where to get these and (2) if its a dovetail or weaver base

Thanks

Weaver #15, 16, 43, 45. These are different heights. Some will list the mount under model 93. :)

Hi, I just purchased The Mark II for my son and went through many base mounts before finding the correct ones. Here are the correct ones http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=401293.
They are Weaver #24 (48024).

Hope this helps

I'm thinking about getting the Savage Mark II, as well, with a Bushnell 3-9x32 rimfire scope. Do I need to purchase extra parts like this "base mount" in order to attach the scope?

some may come with it on there, others may not. I ordered mine from Savage for a few bucks and I still have it if you want it (i also purchased another mount and it works fine). Where do you live?

I'm in South Pasadena..

Can you link me to base mounts that'll fit the Mark II? I appreciate the prompt response, btw

Depending on your ring height and how big the objective is on your scope, here is a list for you to work with:

Weaver:
#15 0.195"
#16 0.205"
#43 0.265"
#45 0.396" (Commercial Mauser 98 rear base)
#S45 Grand Slam steel bases 0.396"
Measurments are the thickness of the bases, given to match the bases and rings for mounting different size scopes on these little actions.

Leupold:
Standard bases:
Gloss black #50028

QR (quick release):
Gloss black #52240
Matte black #52239

QRW (quick release weaver), for weaver style rings:
Gloss black #49866

Redfield:
SR-541:
Gloss black #47195

Burris:
TU-541:
Gloss black #410301

TU-DISC:
Matte black #410218
Nickel silver #410219

About 20MOA. I am just kidding.
20MOA mounts are for long range shooting. Some scopes don't have enough adjustment range to compensate for bullet drop at these extended range say 200 yard. This builds in a certain amount of bias.
