View Full Version : Internet Ammo Sales to Orange County

I posted this on C&R, then thought it may be better here. I was shopping around for surplus ammo for my new (old) M91/30 and ran across several sites that say they won't ship to Orange County, CA. I wasn't aware of any Orange County laws and I talked to an FFL01 store dealer today and he said he wasn't aware of county laws either. Can anybody confirm that there is a law, or are these sites wrong?

There are no laws in Orange County restricting ammo sales. Some dealers and wholesalers have been sued for various firearm issues. The settlements have included restrictions on mail order ammo or they are very leary of selling to a non-FFL due to the lawsuits. Century will ship to Orange County but you need a FFL-01 or a FFL-03 (C&R).There are a lot of other ammo sellers out there that don't have any restrictions. If you use one of them remember if they are east of the Mississippi shipping will be very expensive. Try to find someone as far west as possible.
