If you want something you can shoot at the range, then you need this http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Yugoslavian_1980_s_7.62x54R_182grn_FMJ.html
It has a lead core bullet with a copper jacket which does not attract a magnet, most ranges will walk up to you and do the magnet test on your ammo, and if the projectile attracts a magnet, they will not let you shoot it.

They have the cheapest until you factor in shipping. The Sportsman's Guide has the cheapest after shipping that I have seen so far.

I think it's best to buy this stuff locally when you can find it (surplus that is). Yeah it's cheap on the web but some one these sights charge 30 bucks or more for shipping a case which really is about the same money, but less convenience that scouting around here. I hate having to pony up more than 100 bones just to get a deal I'd rather buy locally in smaller quantities and/or support local business.

Most of what you'll find for the cheap stuff is steel-core surplus. The Yugo ammo is lead-core though, and it's pretty cheap. If you're under 21, it's going to be much harder to order online -- 99% of sites won't ship to you unless you're 21, even if you're only buying rifle ammo.

I recently ordered from AIM, which was better than the Midway special
Shipping is a Bit**
