Are magazines from the various makers (ciener, marvel, kimber, etc) useable with a different makers .22 slide on a 1911?

I have a ciener and finding 10 round magazines for it has been a problem.

Same question here, I am looking for more 22LR 1911 Ciener mags too, they seem to be hard to find.

Interesting question, I have no answer:(. If you're ever in the Orange County area, I'd let you try out my Kimber mag to see if it works, nothing like practical research.

Out of stock. Been that way for a while.

Ciener apparently has a 6 month wait.

My local gun shop indicated that Kimber 22 mags will work with a ciener slide, even to the point of Kimber originally using ciener mags until they started making thier own. I bought a kimber 22 mag and will try it out this weekend.

I can only attest to what I have.

I have the older Kimber kit made by Ciener and one of their metal magazines. I also have a plastic magazine from Advantage Arms and it works as well.

I have a Kimber 1911 in .22lr and also a Ciener conversion on my other 1911 and the magazines are interchangeable. I'm not too crazy about the plastic Kimber mag so I've been using Ciener mags on both guns.

Also have a Colt conversion kit but the mag is not compatible with neither Ciener nor Kimber.
