All the time, every where. There is no place I can not carry (even airplane) except in a lock down facility. I do not carry if I am planing on drinking (common sense).

I know it's shocking isn't it. I also registered my assault weapons (pre 2000) and wait ten days to pick up firearms (don't want to be a hypocrite).

And Las Vegas! Or, anywhere outside of the state, assuming you are talking about non-federal LEOs.

So, whatever became of the LAPD guys who got their guns taken away from them because Ca refuses to allow out of state LEOs to carry here?

That federal law is still fairly recent, how long ago was the LAPD situation?

Haha.. It's cool man, I'm just sarcastic to a fault and I have many LEO friends in this small town.

I have a great deal of respect for Law Enforcement, and I am a former bartender...

Not that recent. The law went into effect in 2004.

Maybe it was before any federal law took effect?

HR218 signed into law in 2004 allows all qualified LEO's to carry concealed pretty much anywhere in the U.S.

No worries I'm a former soldier, bouncer, and bartender. I've ingested my fair share of libations.

I don't carry there because I am usually drinking. However if I did it would be concealed.

Yup!

Me too!

I didn't quit drinking ten years ago because I didn't like the taste, or the drunk... and hang-overs? Just another little headache that a beer can't cure? 'Oh youbetcha!'

No, I quit drinking because I LOVED IT!

Ten years sobriety coming this June 1'st - The gift that just keeps on giving.

When I use to work at a lock psych facility in N. Hollywood, cops were not allowed to enter the premises with guns. If some of you guys who may have been there, its was know as "Camp Coldwater" for the happy campers we had.

Even non-LEOs can carry in Vegas casinos if they have a CCW. NV does not prohibit it.

Public Law 280 allows...
... if you can legally carry concealed in CA (LEO or CCW permit), then you can legally carry concealed on an Indian Reservation/Casino located in CA.

However, if you get caught (don't see how you could, since concealed means concealed), you will be asked to leave the property due to casino "no weapons" policy. Failure to comply/refusal to leave after being asked, will get you a tresspassing cite.

Any and everywhere. When I first graduated the academy, I carried my gun everywhere with me. I even took that thing to the "Head", in my own house. Lol. I stilll carry everywhere I go, except the head.

I once got jammed up by Kaiser Permanente's security guards. My 6 month pregnant girlfriend fell and twisted her ankle. Had to make sure baby was okay. While at the hospital, someone must have seen my gun on my hip (Damn pancake holster. Should've used the IWB that day) as we were walking by. We're in the X ray room, and I get called out by a 300 lb security guard and his 80 year old partner.

I already knew what it had to be. They asked me if I was a cop and I said "yup". Then they asked to see my ID. I told them I was going to remove it with my right hand from my right back pocket. Showed them and no biggie.

You guys would be surprised how many LEO don't carry off duty at all. I ask various officers I work with all the time and I'm surprised by how many don't really care for guns or to carry them off duty.

No they are not. They may have a policy prohibiting it, but it does not trump State Law. If an LEO is carrying concealed off duty, and they have an issue with it, they can ask him to leave the premises. If he refuses, he is trespassing. If you are concealed, how would they know anyway?

Inside the gym, most of the time in my home, in the shower...no carry. I carry in church, at work, when I walk my dog...pretty much whenever I am outside.

Well I'll still refrain from carrying inside these establishments. It's thin ice in my opinion. But anyone else go right ahead
