So I'm going to be in Pahrump Nevada racing at Spring Mountain Raceway. They have a Wallmart in town and seeing how all the wallyworlds here in So. Cal either don't sell or are out of stock, I was thinking about spending about a grand worth on .223, 9mm, .45, .22LR, 7.62 etc.

What are the legalities on bringing it back in my car/truck (if any) ?

Any advice?

TIA

Say Hello to Art Bell at the Wal*Mart (He is into firearms like Dr. Michael Savage)

No problems.

BTW, with 1k dollars, you will not be picking up lots of ammo. LOL.

Lots to me since I only go shooting about once a year on avg :D

But yeah... sad what a grand gets you these days.

Well there you. You will not have any problems bringing back any ammo that you buy over there, as long as it is not tracer rounds you are good to go. Look at the local gun stores too, their ammo prices are cheaper than our local gun stores and you might find better prices than in Wall Mart.

Seeing how the ammo shortage is nationwide, I would be surprised if they had any ammo.

I was in Pahrump last weekend. Ammo was in short supply there too and people were complaining that WM had bare shelves too.

The gun dealer across the highway from WM was selling a lot of powder and primers to some guys from Vegas while I was there and he told them he had plenty to sell.

Why must you kill our hope:confused::eek: I see, is it because you don't want us taking your supplies? LOL.

yeah, the wallyworld in pahrump has been bare for months. i was there in jan and feb and the shelves looked the same. bare.

i was told that that walmart sells the most ammo of any walmart in the country. i don't know it that's true, but with its close proximity to frontsight, it may be possible.

I rode that track in Pahrump last year on my cbr600rr. It was like hell. 120 degrees, 40 mph winds, dust tornado's on the back straight, and a lightning storm. Good luck with the ammo and racing.

Many students will place an order for the ammo needed for the course. 500-2000 rounds per student x however # of students ordering through walmart instead of needing to deal with transporting ammo on the plane.

I was in AZ last year and they were out of ammo, just like we are here in CA. i dont figure NV to be any better.
Pahrump sells other things with gun powder in them, dont forget about those!

I have heard its a fun track, doesn't Yamaha do their testing there?

Frontsight Patriot Training Camp is just outside town.
People come from all over the country to shoot hundreds of rounds a day...
That WalMart hardly has a chance.

It is an amazing track and my fav.
They have a vette driving school their, not sure about Yamaha?
Of all the times I've been there, never had high winds, so I must have been lucky?

Bummer about the ammo.. I was hoping to have a little luck :(

Here's a couple shots from last year at Pahrump :D
