well if your die has an expander ball on the decap assembly you should be fine.
Be prepared to have the case damaged by the die. it is a possible outcome but no real harm in trying.

I got the Dillon Dies and I have not had any problems getting those dents removed when I decap/resize the brass. They come out looking like new.

i'm glad to hear that!! i was kinda worried about bent necks. i just picked up a dillon 550 with dillon dies for 9m,357,44,45, and 223. i'm not even sure how to reload yet, but i'm going to find out real soon!!

Tell you what buddy, I am a "BRASS WHORE", I have picked up .223 brass that has been runned over by cars and I have placed it on Dillon and have been able to get them looking like new. With the exception of one that had like a million dents on the case, I was not able to salvage that one. I have shot said pieces of brass without any sings of over pressure of deteriration showing on the brass.

Your dies will fix those dent on the necks... fire forming the brass will fix the dents on the brass body. Shoot with confident!

If you don't have an elliptical shaped neck expander you may crunch some of them. You can use the bullet shape of a small long nose pliers to round them off, but not by pinching - by inserting the nose of the closed long nose pliers.

Run them though the sizer die, if they pass the case gage check, they are GTG.

Great point, forgot to add that.

Man, no need for you to waste your time doing that. The dies will get them squared away.

what about the brass that had a big fold in the neck and the resizing die bends the neck inward? Are those garbage?

I have shot those too without any problems. The only ones that I throw away are the ones that have a crack or the ones that have a fold in between the body and the neck. Because gases can escape from there and create a dangerous situation.

I would roughly straighten the necks with needle nose pliers then run through the sizer -- If the dent is deep enough the expander ball may not enter the mouth but roll the dent inward and ruin the case -- my- ha-penny

I keep a dummy round for that task.
Use the nice taper of the bullet to iron out the big crimps.
In the pictures in the first post, there's just the one case with the really deep crimp that needs to be straightened out before sizing.
The rest will iron out with normal sizing.

Yes.
The thicker spot where the brass folds will cause the round to be tight in the chamber.
The tight fit pushes pressures up and the bullet will go HIGH in the group.
If the brass folds over, toss it.
