Original 1975 vintage 870 Police. Bought it on the day of my 18th B-day in 1975. First "legal" gun I owned:

http://www.black-talon.org/RKBA/SG/870_1975_01.jpg

Can't have just one 870. Here's an 870P from 2003:

http://www.black-talon.org/RKBA/SG/870_2003_01.jpg

Of the two, I still like my '75 vintage better though. :)

Can you tell me about the light setup you're using on your 1100CM?

Can you tell me about the light setup you're using on your 1100CM?

Sure, it's a M3 Streamlight with Streamlight mount and remote switch.
http://streamlight-flashlights.com/m-3.html
The switch and mount are in the accessories next to the M3 in the upper left. It was a relatively inexpensive way to go, particularly since I already had the light.

Another nice rail mount is made by Sidearmor although it's also more expensive.
http://www.sidearmor.com/cart/catalog/product_52_M404_Shotgun_Interface_System_for_Remin gton_870_1187.html

edit: Oh yeah, the position of the light back further on the barrel works well because it also lights up the front sight.

WInchester Model 12 pump- Old enough to be a C&R yet slicker than most modern pump shotguns:

Everybody needs an 'Elmer Fudd' Gun!

Best $100 I've spent! Remington Model 11 Semiauto, repaired, and with an extended mag tube! I still need to fit a hard buttplate sometime, but it shoots fine just the way it is..

Do you know about GG&G's tactical charging handles? I have it on my Benelli and it work perfect. Round, knurled and fits the finger much better then the stock one.

I *think* it's either a mag extension from a Rem 870- I can't remember which one.. I'll try looking it up...
AHA- found it! " Magazine Extension Remington 7-Shot"
I got it from gunbroker.com

You have to file down the stock mag tube threaded area to let it engage. Then use the longer spring which should come with the extension. I *assume* it will work with the Auto-5 since it's basically the same gun :)

Her's mine. I bought it early last year for $600

This is the info from one of my HP shooters who I bought it from:

One of the police armorers and combat shotgun instructors built it for me. It is built on an 870 wingmaster receiver, with all new parts. An 18" barrel sent to Vangcomp (vangcomp.com) for back-bore compensation, crown, MMC ghost ring tritium night sights, and magazine extension tube and florescent follower. Then an extra strength magazine spring for constant compression and an oversized safety that can be deactivated by the side of the finger as you reach for the trigger. Then the whole enchilada was sent to Birdsong and Associates for the Green-T and Black-T finish on all parts (used on US Navy's Nuclear Submarines and tank turrets). A youth stock was used to shorten length for CQB shooting. Lastly a 4 round side saddle on the receiver for slugs and an Eagle 6 round carrier on the butt stock for 00 Buck.

This weapon has a personal score card using Win Super-X slugs, we won bad guys lost.
